Weekly Recap

This week started off with my Birthday on Monday. I turned 22! This picture is from my dinner on Sunday because unfortunately, I had to work on Monday but oh well. That is life! 

As for  the rest of the week, I just did a lot of chores and catching up. I finally called all the hair and makeup people I'm looking at for the wedding so I am just in the process of booking that as well! Brandyn and I also saw this new Monopoly game and just had to get it!

I was the Coke and Brandyn was the Xbox!

I won the first game! I never win Monopoly. This was a pretty fast version of the game too. As you can see I got the best brands in my tower ;) ... Brandyn won the second game though lol

I also thought I would give a shout out to this cereal. We found it in Walmart and decided to give it a try. So good! I ate two bowls .... hehe

The Book Mailbox Part 2

A week or so ago, I showed "the book mailbox" here.

I had put it up with command strips and was a little concerned it wouldn't hold. It seemed to be ok at first. Oddly enough, it held for about 5 days and then I woke up in the morning and it was on the floor. What was really weird was that it is a big metal thing with heavy books and it didn't even wake us up when it fell...

So instead of putting it back up, I rested it on the ledge that sticks out in our wall. I actually grew to like it there so I went and got a picture frame to complete the look so it didn't look so by itself. This is how it turned out.

I actually think I like the way this looks a lot better so it worked out :) 

Throwback Thursday

** You may have noticed, I have changed my blog name. I wasn't really feeling the lo down anymore. Lo Bosworth also has the exact same name for her website so I decided to change it to A Lil' Bit of Lauren. I feel that suits this blog a bit better as it has turned into more of a lifestyle blog :)

What I Wore Wednesday

Well hello there! I am changed "Fashion Friday" into a what I wore Wednesday type deal. I find this more fitting because I am no fashionista over here and I will never claim to be! So anyway, here is an outfit I wore out for a dinner date.

Top (old): Dynamite

Pants (old): Dynamite

Boots (old): CBX - a spin off of Costa Blanca. It doesn't exist anymore but Costa Blanca still sells shoes

Necklace: Michael Kors

Bracelet: Dynamite

Now as I have written this, I just realized my entire outfit minus the boots is from Dynamite. Can you tell where I shop?

DIY Makeup Brush Holder

Last week I revealed my dressing table and showed my new makeup brush holder in one of the pictures so today I am showing you how I made it. It is incredibly easy.

I DIY'd this .. obviously lol and it was so easy. 

I literally just found the mason jar in my Dad's cupboard, then I went to Walmart and bought the spray paint and ribbon.

I then just spray painted. As you can see, it for some reason did that droopy thing in the picture. It didn't bother me so I just left it. I think because the glass was so old their may have been something on it because I spray painted something else and it didn't do that but yea, it didn't bother me lol. 

I tied the ribbon around and voila! I also did the same thing to the cup that holds my lip stuff to put on the other side of the mirror.

Birthday / Draw My Life

So today is my 22nd birthday and in celebration of that, I decided to do the infamous draw my life video. Last year I did 21 things I have learned by 21 so I thought I would keep up the tradition of doing something like that on my birthday. Anyways... enjoy!
